Ali ESC experience at OCC

My name is Ali Raza Ashraf and I am from Pakistan. I am a student of Migracode and
Volunteering at Open Cultural Center. I came to know about OCC through my Migracode
Program Manager, when I came to know about what OCC is, It does not take too long to make
my decision.

OCC is an organisation that inspires, motivates, and empowers the refugee and migrant
communities.When I look at the world, even though I am an immigrant, I see myself living a
privileged life compared to other people, especially migrants. I want to give back to society, I want to
share what I have so everyone can have resources and knowledge to empower themselves. And
OCC is helping me to deliver what I dream of.

I met the most amazing people of my life at OCC, everyone is here with the same goal to make the
world a better place to live. We are a family taking care of each other, everyone is so supportive and
passionate to make a change in the world. I am so proud to be part of such a noble project and I am
very thankful and lucky to get this opportunity. Peace comes with love and respect, May GOD bless
