Are you between 18 and 30 and looking for an opportunity to help the wider community, in Europe and beyond?
You could do this with funding and support from the European Solidarity Corps, which helps young people take part in projects that benefit communities, either abroad or in their own country.
These projects offer an inspiring and empowering experience, as well as the chance to bring change while developing your skills and competences.
The European Solidarity Corps program includes different actions including the following:
Volunteering

Volunteering projects offer the opportunity for a young person to engage in different activities of an organization for up to 12 months. The missions are divided into two categories: In-Country, where a person can participate in a project in his own country, and Cross-Border, where a person can participate in a project outside of his/her country of origin.
Volunteers can participate in 1 or 2-month projects called Short Term projects or in 3 and up to 12-month projects called Long Term projects. In the short-term mission, it is included also the projects called Volunteering Teams that are involving youth for a short period of time. Youngsters can have the opportunity to participate in a short-term project and later on in a long-term project but not the other way round with the exception of the Volunteering Teams project that youngsters are free to participate even after having completed a long-term mission. Eligible participants are 17-30 years old. At the end of each mission, all youngsters receive a certificate that measures their development and successes during the project, called Youthpass.
What is covered:
- Travel between the country of origin of the participant and the country that the project takes place.
- Food Allowance given to the volunteers at the beginning of each month.
- Accommodation is provided by the hosting organization.

- Solidarity Projects

Are you active in the development process of your local community? You want to contribute via acts of solidarity to the people around you? Then this project is for you. Solidarity projects are ideas applied into actions, created by youngsters and that aim to offer a helping hand to the world around them and above all their own community. If you have an idea about the project you and your friend can apply it via ESC. This program is destined for youth 18-30 years old and offers 500 euros per month and for a total duration of 1 year to be spent on your ideas, while there is an amount provided to a coach that will support the group during the implementation of the project.
